State of Sunshine Called the Numbers: 364 to 174

Last week, I published a post predicting the electoral college breakdown and a win for Barack Obama. The map shows a total of 364 electoral votes for Obama and 174 votes for John McCain.

And that looks like how it will come out.

CNN shows Obama with 349 and McCain with 163, and Missouri and North Carolina are still “too close to call.” McCain is winning Missouri (+11) and Obama is winning North Carolina (+15). If those leads hold true, the numbers will be 364 to 174.

Now, I didn’t call all 50 states mind you — Indiana’s 11 votes went to Obama when I predicted a McCain win; and I had predicted Missouri’s 11 votes for Obama.

Compare for yourself: My post from last week. CNN’s current map.
