Republican sources and national publication Roll Call are reporting this afternoon that U.S. Senator Mel Martinez is considering an early resignation and Governor Charlie Crist is seriously contemplating a run for the open U.S. Senate seat.

This is despite the non-denial, denial from the Governor as reported in The Buzz.

One Response to Martinez may resign, Crist eyeing seat

  1. People need to take responsibility for their actions and not look for government to bail them out.
I vote NO for Gov Crist as candidate for Florida Federal Senate Seat. A nice head of hair and bright white teeth smile does not make a good senator.
Instead of him cutting the state’s budget he went ahead and took the easy way out and accepted the federal bailout which has created a socialist government. Now he has set up Florida as ‘a borrower is the slave to the lender’ future. I want a man or woman that will be a leader not a follower. Someone who wants to help the citizens, not burden them with more debt. I want someone who is willing to do honest hard work. I want someone who is not scared to say NO to the easy way out liberal agenda. I want someone who is willing to walk the walk and not just talk the talk.
