The Pasco County Republican Party has been very busy since Election Day.  Newly elected Chairman, Randy Maggard, has put forth major initiatives to charter clubs that will outreach to youth, veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and folks that value faith and family.  Jack Knowles, has led the charge with starting a Young Republican Club in the county.  The Young Republican group will host its first organizational meeting on May 5, 2009 at 6 PM at the Beef O’ Brady’s on State Road 54 in Trinity.  The guest speaker for the event is the Honorable State Representative Will Weatherford. Chairman Maggard has also identified two strong conservative leaders to organize the Faith and Family club and Veterans’ group.  John Tracy will lead the Faith and Family values club and Burton Melaugh will take the helm for the Veterans’ group.

The start of these clubs has the REC very excited as it moves into the 2010 election cycle.
